As President and Principal of Better Commercial Mortgage, Inc., Mr. Better actively originates commercial real estate loans and places debt, mezz and equity for his clients and brokers nationwide. He also oversees all operational divisions within the firm. He is responsible for executing the firm’s business plan, lender and correspondent relationships, strategic alliances, broker referral program and weekly capital market update newsletter.

Mr. Better offers clients and brokers a full capital stack which includes: debt, equity and joint ventures for all property types nationwide. Mr. Better's extensive capital market knowledge and national lender relationships have made him one of the premier commercial real estate bankers in the country.

Prior to launching Better Commercial Mortgage Inc., Mr. Better served as the President and Principal of Sperry Van Ness | Better Capital Partners. He launched the national in-house commercial real estate investment banking division for Sperry Van Ness, a top (10) ten ranked, multi-billion dollar, commercial real estate sales firm. Mr. Better oversaw a team of twenty (20) with offices in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Orlando. Mr. Better’s team provided nationwide financial services to over (1,000) one-thousand commercial real estate sales brokers, their clients and his teams existing client base.

Mr. Better has also served as Vice President | Senior Council Member with George Smith Partners, Vice President of Commercial Real Estate Originations for Commercial Realty Consultants, Inc. and as a Director for the Barry Slatt Mortgage Company.

Mr. Better received his BA from Hunter College in New York City, his Real Estate Certificate (specialization in finance) from UCLA, is active in numerous commercial real estate associations and is a frequent guest speaker and moderator on the capital markets. Mr. Better and his wife Alyssa live in Los Angeles, California with 7 year old son Blake and 6 year old daughter Joelle.

As a Senior Vice President of New Business Development, Silvio J. Ferrari, Jr. markets the financial services of Better Commercial Mortgage Inc. Mr. Ferrari also builds market position and develops close business relationships with commercial real estate investors, developers, CPA’s, attorneys, property managers and real estate sales/leasing brokers among others. He also oversees the firms nationwide referral fee and co-broker origination program.

Mr. Ferrari’s financial services background includes: serving as a Business Development Officer with the Bank of Commerce SBA Division.

Prior to joining Better Commercial Mortgage, Inc., Mr. Ferrari served as a Senior Investment Advisor for Sperry Van Ness. He specialized in the sale of industrial and office property and has over 30 years of commercial real estate experience. Mr. Ferrari has completed over $1billion in real estate related transactions and has been honored with the coveted Sperry Van Ness Achievers Award and joined the ranks of the 4400 Club.

Prior to joining Sperry Van Ness, Mr. Ferrari served as an independent commercial real estate broker providing buyer and owner representation to industrial, retail, multifamily, land and office property clients. He also served with developers such as Buzz Oates Real Estate and the D. Benvenuti Company in Sacramento, where his activities included leasing, sales, and pre-development of industrial, office and retail property.

Earlier experience includes: serving as marketing manager for the Robert Wood Company in the City of Industry, where he specialized in land acquisitions and land leases on or adjacent to, medical centers and hospitals. Mr. Ferrari developed medical office building marketing programs to physicians, which included limited partnership sales and medical office leasing.

Mr. Ferrari is a member of the Association of Commercial Real Estate and the National Association of Industrial Office Properties.
